A difference that doesn't make a difference is not a difference - How digital processes are really changing corporate finance

By Matthias Wittenburg, Co-Founder Beteiligungsbörse Deutschland GmbH

Whether account management, payment transactions or investments: FinTechs are conquering all areas of the financial sector. A lot of useful innovation and many a questionable business model are the result. In the B2B business, it is primarily new financing channels that want to compete with banks in the lending business. Not every business model is really new, not every process - beyond the front end - is truly digital.

However, there are also areas that traditional financial service providers have not yet penetrated efficiently. In which digitalization makes a real difference and makes transactions efficient in the first place.

This clearly includes the corporate finance / M&A business for growth companies and SMEs. Digital solutions for company sales or equity fundraising open up completely new access to capital providers and thus offer exciting opportunities for investors.
